Programme Research

The programme research – open to members only – comprises three
different types of research projects for the current period of
research (2003–2005):
– Member Projects
– Competence Project
– Industry Group Projects
These three types of projects are an important part of SCI's
research activities, and they are accessible solely for the members of the Industrial Ceramic
Research Association.
Member Projects
SCI and the members have agreed on four strategic areas of
research. One project has been set up within each selected area:

These four projects are financed by the member fees.
All members can influence and control the
direction of these projects.

Competence Project
This project is financed totally by IRECO Holding AB and
Vinnova, but all members will get
access to the results from this project. This project is run
in cooperation with Institute for Surface Chemistry (YKI, Ytkemiska
Institutet AB) within the field of Mesoporous
structures. This is a relatively new R&D area with large
growth potential. |

Industry Group Project
This project is financed solely by the participating
enterprises, and the projects are intended for a small group
of companies who gather round a common issue. These projects
are strictly confidential and the participating companies
own the results. The extent of such a project may vary.These projects must be started by a member, but
non-members may participate, provided that they pay a higher fee.
