The Queen Silvia Nursing Award is a scholarship given annually to nursing students in Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Germany. The scholarship was established in Sweden in 2013 as a gift to Her Majesty Queen Silvia.

The recipient of Queen Silvia Nursing Award is rewarded with a scholarship of Euros 6000 in addition to a unique, individually tailored internship program. During the internship, the scholar has an opportunity to learn about healthcare and care of the elderly from various perspectives.

This year’s ceremony was held at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on April 2.

Queen Silvia Nursing Award is proud to announce its new partners Vironova and Attendo.

    Vironova

Vironova is a Swedish biotechnology company providing comprehensive hardware, software, and services for the analysis of nanoparticles. They specialize in electron microscopy. Vironova is making transmission electron microscopy (TEM)-based image analysis in biopharmaceutical development user-friendly and accessible through automation.

    Attendo

Attendo offers care for older people in nursing homes and in-home care in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark. In nursing homes, clients live in their own apartments with access to common areas such as a dining hall, living room, garden, and patios. With home care services, Attendo offers full-range care that includes everything from care and meal service to cleaning, laundry, and evening and night services.

Queen Silvia Nursing Award looks forward to the development of the scholarship and internship through these new alliances!
