Seoul, Republic of Korea. This year Swedish Care International and Queen Silvia Nursing Award scholar, Ms Hanna Davidsson participated at the International Conference for the Council of Nurses. This gathering of thousands of nurses is a platform for cross-cultural understanding and global cooperation in nursing. The five day long conference provides opportunities for nurses to build relationships and to disseminate nursing knowledge and leadership across specialties, cultures and countries.
We had a chance to meet with an array of stakeholders, experts and practitioners, some of which we are proud to note are our partners. Amongst others, Sineva Ribeiro, chairman of Vårdförbundet and Birgitta Wedahl of the Swedish Society of Nurses were present as well as this year’s Finnish QSNA scholar, Ms Laura Virtanen whom, thanks to the Finnish Nurses Association, was present at the conference.
This was a truly inspiring event which gave SCI an opportunity to contribute to the international dialogue on a subject matter we are passionate about. Queen Silvia Nursing Award (QSNA) aims to build the status of nursing education worldwide by promoting students creativity to contribute to the improvement of care, with focus on the elderly. QSNA has been a true success story that we are proud to be a part of.
